Many customers often overlook the potential damage that can be caused while moving a piano. Having your piano moved by amateurs can be a very expensive mistake. If not handled professionaly, a piano can cause extensive and expensive damage to a home. This can be even more costly where hardwood floors or marble/porcelain tile is involved. Professional piano movers usually employ special piano moving equipment to get the job done safely and without damage to the home or injury to the movers.
First Rate Movers only moves vertical (upright) pianos and only if a proper piano skid can be used. We will only move pianos if there are less than 6 stairs involved at either location. The piano must remain upright. We will not place a piano on it’s end under any circumstances.
We offer flat rates to move pianos if they are the only item being moved. These rates can not be posted as they can vary depending on the locations involved and the access.
