My son and I had the distinct pleasure of working with First Rate Movers on an apartment move from Ottawa to Kingston earlier this month (June 2011). Matt Guest, General Manager of First Rate provided an accurate and detailed estimate prior to the move, ensuring that we were fully informed as to our obligations and those of First Rate. There were absolutely no surprises and First Rate delivered exactly what they promised. The service provided was superb. The two-man moving crew (Andre Bourbonnais and Aaron Allison) arrived promptly at the scheduled time for pickup. They were thoroughly professional and very pleasant to work with. They were very careful in wrapping and unwrapping our furniture items, and in handling our owner-packed goods. They were very efficient, and paid close attention to detail to ensure the move was successful and safely done. All of our items arrived safely and without damage at the appointed time.
