We came across 1st Rate completely by chance; I had called another company in the yellow pages that were unable to fit in my move date, and when I asked for a referral to another mover, I was directed to Matt. It speaks highly when your peers recommend you, and 1st Rate did not disappoint! We hired them to help load our stuff onto a self-pack container that we were being charged for by the foot. Not only did Matt go out of his way to make sure that all of our belongings were packed with the utmost consideration for the long cross country journey ahead, but he made maximum utilization of every inch of space, and ended up using 216 square feet less than we had been quoted for. Lets just say the space they saved us more than paid for the movers, which I thought were most reasonably priced. The guys were prompt, efficient, and did their work with a wonderful sense of urgency; always a great thing when you’re paying by the hour 🙂 The final testament to their good work was when our stuff got to Calgary, and not only was NOTHING damaged, but the movers we had hired on this end complimented the excellent packing job. Like I said, when you have peers in your field complimenting you, you know you’re doing something right! I would strongly recommend 1st rate to anyone that is looking for a mover inand serviced areas; they should be the 1st choice in movers!
